Social Media Manager

Position: Social Media Manager,  AmeriForce Media

Company:

AmeriForce Media is a niche print and digital publisher in the military market. The company’s two print titles, Military Families Magazine (monthly) and Reserve and National Guard Magazine (bimonthly), and their associated digital properties reach over 10 million members of the military community at over 2,500 global military installations each year.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social media brand strategies, campaigns, and plans to build
    brand/company awareness.
  • Oversee day-to-day management of campaigns and ensure brand consistency.

  • Oversee day-to-day management of campaigns and ensure brand consistency.
  • Create, maintain, and grow existing platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram.
  • Manage company blog and editorial calendar that aligns with social updates.
  • Monitor social media progress using web analytic tools.
  • Incorporate optimization strategies, analyze data, and research the best ways to increase traffic.
  • Review the success of campaigns and develop ways to improve.
  • Plan paid social media advertising strategies and budgets.
  • Drive engagement with social media influencers.
  • Resolve customer issues through social media.
  • Write effective, concise copy for multiple platforms and social networks.

 

Requirements:

  • Two years of social media management experience
  • Must be a team player with strong communication skills
  • Experience with AgoraPulse or a similar style social media scheduling service
  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices
  • Experience with creating and implementing Facebook ad campaigns
  • Experience with managing Facebook LIVE and Twitterchats
  • Excellent analytical and time-management skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to supervise multiple projects

 

Additional:

  • Flexible work hours (maximum 20 hours/week)
  • This is a remote position
  • Familiarity with military a plus
