Few people know what it’s like to pursue a degree online while living the military lifestyle.
At Oregon State University Ecampus, we can’t tell you about an experience that we haven’t lived ourselves. But we can put you in touch with military service members, veterans and spouses who have.
That’s why we created the Oregon State Ecampus military ambassadors program that lets you chat directly with military-connected personnel who found the right work-life balance to earn their degrees online.
The program lets you connect directly with an ambassador as they share tips on how to succeed as an online student. Current ambassadors include military spouses from the Navy and Air Force, an active duty staff sergeant in the Air Force, and a Navy veteran.
Their areas of expertise include:
- Time management
- Work-life balance
- Connecting with military classmates
- Moving while in the military
- Online learning vs. on-campus learning
- Military support from Oregon State
OSU Ecampus has a long track record of supporting military families. U.S. News & World Report ranks Oregon State No. 3 in the nation for Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans.
One major reason Oregon State is well-respected by the military community is because the faculty who teach online are invested in helping students succeed.
“I never felt like I couldn’t ask a question. I think that was really important too because that way you really build this relationship with the instructor,” said Janine Romero, a liberal studies graduate whose husband serves in the Air Force.
“I feel like the instructors, they know who I am, and it’s because I was able to engage with them as often as I did.”
Take advantage of Oregon State’s military ambassador program and talk with people who have been in your shoes and can help you earn your degree online.
