Military Families Magazine will be hosting a series of livestream events discussing one of the most controversial topics of the month- whether or not parents should be sending their children back to school amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We will be talking with other military spouses, experts in the field of education and health, homeschooling families and parents to weigh the options of sending children back to school full-time, virtual learning, or homeschooling.
The first live stream will be held on July 24th at 11am EST. We will be holding a discussion with other military spouses about their opinions on whether or not children should be sent back to school amid the coronavirus pandemic. Views of both for sending children back and against sending children back to school will be discussed, as well as discussion with a military spouse teacher about her thoughts on going back to school this year. Hope Bradley of Dependa Strong will also be joining us to talk about the mental and emotional impact this school year is having on military spouses who are going through deployments or unaccompanied tours.
The additional livestreams will be held July 30th through August 12th. Topics include discussing with health and educational professionals about how to make the best decision for your family, what to consider when you are contemplating homeschooling and tips on how to make homeschooling or virtual learning work when you are working from home.
