Liberty University knows that our nation’s freedoms exist because of the dedicated service of men and women like you. You deserve opportunities to further your professional career, and we want to help make that possible. Because of your sacrifice, our ambition is to make your educational journey accessible and affordable. It is Liberty’s privilege to provide financial and educational benefits to eligible active and retired military students and their families.
One of the ways we do this is through exclusive online tuition discounts for qualified military students and military spouses. These discounted rates include $250 per credit hour for undergraduate students, $275 for graduate, and $300 for doctoral.* In addition to taking advantage of this exclusive rate, Liberty encourages qualifying students to utilize Tuition Assistance (TA). This is a government benefit offered to service members of all branches of the Armed Forces to assist with the cost of tuition — visit Liberty’s Military Affairs website to see if you or your spouse qualify.
We acknowledge that many men and women have paid a high price for our country’s freedom. Another way that Liberty shows appreciation for these sacrifices is through the Heroes Fund Scholarship (HFS), a donation-funded scholarship offered to service members who have been wounded in the line of duty. In addition, Liberty is proud to offer the Military Child Discount, a scholarship that provides a 15% discount off regular full- or part-time tuition rates for new online students, regardless of age, whose parent(s) served honorably in the military.
Though supporting our military students financially is a high priority for us, we recognize that mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health are essential components of an educational journey as well. Through social communities, events, student groups, and a Veteran’s Center, Liberty University strives to cultivate an environment where military students and their families feel valued, included, and appreciated. Liberty was one of the nation’s first campus locations to offer VetSuccess on Campus (VSOC), a program that partners with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This program helps service members and their families transition to student life and assists them in achieving their educational and career goals.
Pursuing your education while actively serving poses unique challenges, and we want to do everything possible to support you. Liberty works to make accommodations to ensure that deployment or unexpected duty does not harm your academic progress. You can expect professors and other faculty to take every step possible to help you overcome potential barriers. See Liberty’s Student Deployment Guide for in-depth resources and information — you do not have to do it alone.
