Our own Bianca Strzalkowski will report from Washington, D.C., starting Thursday, Jan. 19, on events including the wreath laying at Arlington Cemetery, the Welcome Concert featuring artists Toby Keith, 3 Doors Down and Lee Greenwood, the Inaugural Parade, and the ceremonial swearing-in of the next Commander-in-Chief. Strzalkowski, who has been married to an active-duty Marine for nearly 16 years, has covered military and veteran issues for the last six years. She has experienced the challenges attached to the post-9/11 military community and strives to offer a firsthand perspective of these historic events with military spouses — like herself — in mind.
