Liz Palka is a writer, reporter and media relations professional with a passion for storytelling and connecting with others in her community. She has worked as a journalist for more than a decade, focusing mainly on local news reporting, while also working in political and international news. Most recently, Liz has worked for Nardi Media, VOA News and the Hearst Washington bureau. She also spent five years reporting for WAVY TV 10 in Norfolk, Virginia, earning two EMMY nominations. Liz is currently based out of San Diego, California with her husband, who is in the Navy, and their children. She studied Broadcast Communications at Elon University and grew up just outside of Washington, D.C.
