For the past five years, Newrez has been proud to partner with Moving with the Military, a collaboration that has positively impacted numerous lives within the veteran and military community. Together, we have carried out more than 45 surprise makeovers, bringing happiness, relief, and a sense of stability to military and veteran families nationwide. This partnership goes beyond mere sponsorship; it is about creating a genuine, measurable change in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much.

One of our most significant projects took place in Phoenix, Arizona, where we worked with veterans to assist a female veteran and mother of two who had experienced homelessness. Together, we transformed her entire apartment, crafting a space that was inviting, functional, and secure.

For this family, having a comfortable home was not just about appearance — it was a crucial step towards regaining stability, peace of mind, and a sense of optimism for the future. The environments we inhabit have a significant impact on our mental health and overall well-being, and creating a space that felt like home was exactly what this family needed to start rebuilding their lives.

But the impact of this partnership goes even further. We spent an afternoon at the U.S. Veterans Center, serving meals and connecting with those who had served our country. The hands-on involvement was incredibly meaningful. Newrez is dedicated to serving those who served, and we demonstrate this commitment through action. Newrez doesn’t merely sponsor an event; we provide employee support to volunteer and work alongside community partners and the Moving with the Military team.

This partnership represents more than financial support; it signifies a deep commitment to creating spaces that support the mental and emotional well-being of military families. Through our combined efforts, we have helped create homes that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also provide a sense of security and belonging.

Together, we have shown that when corporate responsibility meets community care, the results can be life changing. And that’s what Moving with the Military and Newrez are all about — making a lasting difference in the lives of those who deserve it most.
